Here in Schenectady County, you can take advantage of one of the most competitive film tax credit incentives in the country.
Production companies may be eligible to receive a fully refundable credit of 40% on labor costs. Qualified production costs have been expanded to include "above the line" costs including salaries of actors, writers, directors and up to two producers. Inclusion of these above-the-line salaries is subject to a $500,000 cap per individual and limited to 40% of the total qualified expenses.
